A project of the Center for Court Innovation, it pilots alternatives to incarceration on Staten Island by working to diverting people (especially youth) from jail into community programs. It hosts a Youth Court and a restorative circles initiative. Staten Island Justice Center staff have advocated for closing Rikers and have supported borough-based restorative hubs instead of new jails.
